Read the revised notice, not the old dates
This drive has already changed once, and that matters. The original notice (30 September 2026) set a 7 October to 6 November window, but the Railway Recruitment Cell, Jaipur cancelled it and issued a revised notice on 21 October 2026 with the 23 October to 22 November window. Anyone working from the old dates will miss the real deadline. One more honest flag: the revised notice states 2,008 slots, but at least one careful reading of its own unit-wise tables adds them up to 2,234. Treat 2,008 as the headline figure and check your chosen unit''s table in the official notice before applying.
Apprenticeship is training, not a railway job
These slots are engagement as Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 — practical training in trades like Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter and Computer Operator and Programming Assistant. Completing the training does not give any right to a regular railway post. That distinction is the single most misrepresented point in railway-apprentice advertising, and it is worth stating plainly: this is a skills route, not a job appointment. - Open the RRC Jaipur website and read the revised Notice No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA) dated 21 October 2026.
- Match your ITI trade against the notified trades for the unit you want — you may choose only one unit, and an unrelated trade does not count.
- Confirm your Class 10 aggregate is at least 50% and your age is 15–24 on 22 November 2026.
- Fill the online form, pay Rs 100 if applicable, and submit before 22 November 2026, 11:59 PM.
- Keep your marksheets and certificates ready — selection is a simple average of matriculation percentage and ITI marks, so accurate marks matter.
For ITI holders, a no-exam merit route into railway workshops is a genuine opportunity — as long as it is understood for what it is: training with a stipend as per Railway Board rules, not a permanent post.
